GOLDEN SEA-DRIVE® | NO ELECTRIC BRAKES

GOLDEN SEA-DRIVE® | CUSTOM BOAT LIFTS

Only Golden’s Exclusive SEA-DRIVE® has passed the test of time!

We have now been using the SEA-DRIVE® for 15 years. Over 100,000 units installed and doing their job. There is no other boat lift manufacturer in the world to our knowledge that could make that claim. For years we did the same thing all of our competitors still do today. They use off the shelf gear boxes that are simply not designed to withstand the shock loads and harsh environments boat lifts are subjected to. If you are considering purchasing a new boat lift you need to contact Golden and let us explain the benefits of the SEA-DRIVE® System.

SEA-Drive®

Golden Boat Lifts® has the finest drive unit ever introduced for a boat lift system. The “SEA-DRIVE® ” is an Aluminum Die-Cast Enclosure, Housing Dual Worm Gear Reducers. This configuration assures that the gear box will never back drive. We do not use electric brakes, as even the best electric brakes fail in a harsh waterfront environment. Our system connects the SEA-DRIVE® directly to the boat lift drive shaft with an over sized 5/8″ hardened drive pin. This is needed due to the high output torque the SEA-DRIVE® produces.

Warranty

Our exclusive SEA-DRIVE® from Golden Boat Lifts® comes with a 10-year warranty on the housing and gears. This warranty is applicable for customers who regularly maintain their boat lift.

Gearing

The high-speed gear set operates at a 5:1 ratio for optimal efficiency. It’s built using industrial-grade materials tailored to SEA-DRIVE® specifications. The gear is constructed from a heat-treated alloy and works in tandem with a bronze worm gear for smooth operation.

The low-speed gear set is a high-ratio (96:1) designed to have an extremely low helix angle to prevent any possibility of back drifting. The large center distance of the low-speed gear set results in lower tooth loads for a given output torque.

Lubrication

Our SEA-DRIVE® reducer is filled with a top-quality lubricant known for its reliability. This grease has a high viscosity, making it suitable for handling the heavy loads experienced by boat lift gears. It also prevents any potential leakage issues.

Mounting

The SEA-DRIVE® is mounted on a shaft with dual flanges, allowing flexibility for different drive positions. It’s secured to the lift shaft using a 5/8″ grade “5” cross bolt, which is the largest drive bolt in the industry. This ensures a sturdy connection for reliable performance.
